ABOUT THE WAI-WAI

The Wai-Wai is one of nine indigenous and, sadly, endangered Amerindian tribes in Guyana. Wai-Wai derives from ‘wewe’, meaning “children of the forest”, and they have a subsistence way of life.

Inspired by my ancestors' community-focused tribal way of life, I created Wai Way to enable women, who are each wanting to fulfil their individual potential, to also be able to connect and draw power from being part of a collective who all are on a similar journey of self-discovery.

Wai Way will equip you with the knowledge and practical tools to tap into your innate resourcefulness, step into your most authentic power and look as good as you feel on the inside!

WORK STILL TO BE DONE

The fitness industry still operates from a binary and cisnormative perspective. As a cis woman, I can only speak from my lived experiences but I hope to use my platform to support and amplify the voices of those who proudly exist outside those rigid frameworks. My hope is to be able to support anyone who identifies as a woman, as well as the non-binary community.
